Re: Cannabis Rex Vs. Tone Tubby Ceramic
Gents, For those that have used the C-Rex, have you paired it with another type of speaker with success? I have heard that the Eminence RWB could be a good pairing. Looking for something with very tight / smooth bass with rolled off highs. It will be mostly used for high gain blues / rock. Love the...

Re: Chassis Bottom Plate
With Nik's chassis you may want to put a couple of "L" brackets on the front and back. He doesn't do the foldovers on the front and back. The weight of the amp will push down on the front and back and sag the chassis. Really? It seemed like to me that the chasis was sturdy enough. It's pretty thick...

Re: Chassis Bottom Plate
The bottom plate is primarily as an RF shield. Since I don't play out, I just mount my heads on a pine board. Before doing that, I smear the board with a thin layer of glue and apply some heavy duty kitchen aluminum foil. It works great and it makes a difference. I was totally surprised at how it c...

Re: New KF-50 Done tonight...this ones mine!!!
Finished the footswitch. It works perfectly and is dead silent 8) There is no tone loss at all! Had to add the 'wreckish foot pedal design! Hey there, I just bought one of your amps. To be quite honest , it's amazing. Would this footswitchable fast/gradual switching be able to be retrofitted into o...

One question though.
Why did you mount the chassis from the top of the cab vs the bottom?

Re: creitone express
I have played an express clone that was done at 18 watts. I thought the clean tone was good albeit quiet, and the overdrive was quite amazing. But an express should be 36watts right? I was presuming that at that power level you could get some clean headroom before things got super saturated. Even a...

Re: creitone express
WHat youa re describing is normal, but if the tones you like are with the amp on 1, you are a little limited (although not with 19 other amps to chose from). Most people play the Express on about 4-7, and there really isn't much clean available in that range unless you work the guitar's volume. The...

Re: creitone express
I haven't heard 1 person ever say this about their Expresses, Ceriatone or other clones, or the real thing, BUT I have a Ceriatone Express and if you barely turn the volume on , i.e. up to about 1 , its CLEANS are absolutely gorgeous.. At that volume , you turn the bass way up (when cranked, you tur...
