Re: Kitty Hawk (actual Dumble?) for sale

Is there consensus that the Kitty Hawk on Reverb is in fact an amp built by Dumble? Is this the earliest use of Tandy Wire & Cable coax? The amp pic I reposted for comparison has grey coax, which is consistent with other amps from that time period. I don't know why Kitty Hawk would have used Tandy ...

Re: Ben Harper cleans an amp:

Dumble built these amps for The Beach Boys and then their tech decided to cover the white tolex with the ugly black carpet. I guess he didn’t like the look of them after they had some wear. Dumble was not happy about that and it was the end of Dumble and The Beach Boys. RIP Brian Wilson.

Just so you know, Dumble hated being called Howard. Josh knows this. So the opposite of respectful.

Re: "A box later" Dumble

A lie is a lie. There was only one way legally this scumbag could have been stopped from this selling his little Dumble poke in the eye and that was if he “misrepresented “ the product. He did it on a silver platter. John Mayer you suck. Haha.

Re: ODS Filtering Question

I'm not sure if me observing things is not okay here but I thought this was a discussion forum. I seem to be running into this problem a few times. Am I doing something wrong here? I observe there is a difference between those 2 caps and the other cap and I get my head taken off? Anyhow I love the ...

He is a bit off on that comment. Usually the HRM has separate volumes. You find Skyline tone stack in non HRM and HRM amps.

Blue Goop! Looking for the right stuff

Hello, I have been searching everywhere for the Dumble approved blue goop. I know it is Permatex blue gasket maker, I just can’t figure out when. Any ideas?

Re: Dumble Bandmaster Gator UltraPhonix Build

Ryan, I confirmed(don’t ask me how) that the cap across the tremolo roach is .047 and across the 100k is .001. Which would also make the PI cap .047. Your amp sounds great.

Re: Tim Pierce and ODS #178

Yeah I think that it is more or less that Ripper schematic that was posted earlier in this thread with a high voltage Musicman power supply. Now keep in mind, to Dumble, Larry Carlton and Robben Ford were THE guys, so there may be some tweeky stuff in there.

Re: Tim Pierce and ODS #178

Hello Guy :D Good to be back with you guys here. Sounds more Marshall/Bluesmaster esque to me (Scooped mids) givin the amps settings. Maybe CW can opine? Tony I have learned a few things recently so yes; I can respond to this. First of all, we need to differentiate between "power amp" and "power su...

Re: Tim Pierce and ODS #178

Tony, probably close, #189 was Stephan Bruton’s amp and he liked a Skyline tone stack.
