Re: Replacement lamp blows fuse and lamp in Rocket
The fixture is rated for 125V so I am a little surprised that a 6.v bulb was stout enough to blow the fuse... usually they last a couple micro seconds as they go out in a flash of glory. The typical slow blow fuse will outlast that event so I don't entirely understand but in the end if it's all wor...

Re: Replacement lamp blows fuse and lamp in Rocket
https://www.tubesandmore.com/products/P-47 i use this bulb with the fender style lamp. and hook it up to the filament supply, rather than the 120. Yea...I did hook it up to the 120V instead of the filament. I'm a beginner amp builder and electronics student but makes sense now. Thanks for the quick...

Re: Replacement lamp blows fuse and lamp in Rocket
Can you give me a value for the bulb you are using?pleasantbullet wrote:I used the same for my express, with no problems.
Could your fuse blow if you use the wrong bulb?

Replacement lamp blows fuse and lamp in Rocket
I replaced the traditional amber lamp in my Rocket with a Jewel style, but not traditional fender, that is 125V@75Watts and blows the bulb and fuse. Doesn't seem to be making a ground from what I can see. Here is the link to the bulb I'm using: https://www.tubesandmore.com/products/P-L110 Any sugges...

Rocket slowly dies out sometimes
I have a new Rocket I've built a few weeks ago and has sounded great with no problems except that in the three weeks I've been playing it, twice I will be playing it for a few minutes after first turning it on will slowly die out. But if I turn the standby off and back on it will slowly come back in...

More Headroom on Rocket - Plate Bias Resistor?
This may seem a bit basic, but I'm looking to get the best headroom on my new Rocket build. I know that if I use the 280V instead of the 250V I'll get more headroom, but I've been informed to change the plate bias resistor. However, I did notice on Ceriatone's Rocket layout there is a voltage switch...

For RJ:
I did the test on this and hiss and all tubes would cut the noise out.RJ Guitars wrote:Forgive me for suggesting the overly simple test methods but what happens to the hiss when you pull out tube #1?

Rocket Hiss and Pedal Popping
Mark...I'm not equipped as I'm a beginner in amp technology. I can say that the tech who cleaned up the mess I made and brought it to life...told me he needed to reroute some areas because he felt the values were off, particularly with the filter caps. I'm slowly trying suggestions that fit my abili...

Rocket Hiss and Pedal Popping
I've checked all tubes and switched them around for testing. They are also new in box Teslas sold as set for TW Rockets from tubes and more.

Pics of the Rocket
Ok here are the pics. Remember, the tech that put this together rerouted some things. Didn't change the design, just rerouted. 1) Reconfigured the filter caps putting one on the board and one by the first preamp tube. (He did change the value of the filter caps...don't have right now but can get lat...

Rocket popping and hiss
The hiss isn't so bad as much as the popping. The popping is super loud and I know it isn't the pedals because I've used them on other amps. The amp just seems highly sensitive. And from hearing other Rocket players they haven't had this trouble. I'll post some pics of the tech who bright it to life.

Trainwreck Liverpool with Pedals
Ok. The reason I posted this for the Liverpool was because I bought a Rocket clone from Ceriatone. This is my first amp and have been successful in modding pedals and amps, but failed pretty badly and took it to an amp technician who brought it to life, but rerouted quite a few areas....overall the ...
