I have my RSA now and a so-so wiring photo of a BTR, but no schematic
If I had a schematic, I would probably have most of the answers I’m looking for already.

Divided by 13 RSA23 into a BTR23?
I just got an RSA23 and would like to add the BTR master volume and boost switch. Since it’s a no PCB amp, I figure it shouldn’t be to difficult. Has any one done this? Another question This amp has what might be called note ghosting, but I’m not sure if it’s the “good kind,” or not since most of my...

Re: Express sounds better with25 watt Celestions
Yes ET 65s came in a trade.
They're going bye bye.
Have you compared Green Berets directly to Greenbacks?

Thought it sounded pretty good, not as good as 25s though

Express sounds better with25 watt Celestions
I've been trying different speakers with my Express build and 25 watt Celestions sound so much better than everything else I've tried. a Warehouse ET 65 sounded pretty good, but everything else I've tried makes my Express sound like a different (not so great) amp. The amp breaths through 25s, more s...

Warehouse ET65s anyone a fan over Eminence for an Express
I've had a pair of ET65s kicking around for a while. Threw one in a 1x12 of mine, but my tennant is home and i can't let her rip right now. So far Celestion 25s are by far my preferred speaker for my Express and I've tried a bunch. 25s seem to bring out the most detail and sensitivity in this amp. I...

Re: Looking for feedback on Express tweaks
Did the 820r on pin #2. Wow! I think that may have done the trick. Seems to have everything I liked before, but less splattery and more crunchy.
I'm sure I'll try other stuff too, but that worked about as well as I could've hoped.

Re: First Poster on my TW Express build
L think I can get better pricing, but think they list for over twice what the Pacifics do, so the question is, how much better pricing? I can't find he "good guy" price shett on Mercury's site

Sorry for the duplicate posts. Sometimes the sight says there's been a error even though it's posted my comments. I'll watch out for that

Re: First Poster on my TW Express build
Did you pay the $$$$$$$$$ for the Mercury, or do you have a source for better prices?

Re: Looking for feedback on Express tweaks
You said 1.5k on the first two stages, not 2.7k on the second stage? As best as you can describe, how much difference did 10uf vs. 25uf make. I haven't quite fallen in love with the TW asthetic yet. I'll stick with the Marshall knobs (although I might switch to silver tops). Don't think I'll be buyi...

Re: First Poster on my TW Express build
Thanks RJ for the thoughtful responses on the Trannsformer questions. Surprisingly, no one has mentioned Mercury. Pacific seems to be the general preference, which is good and bad for me. I used Pacific in mine and I'm pleased as far as I can tell, but as a tinkerer, I always want better. I guess th...
