LOL!!!

It was simple wrong part supplied. Every other resistor and component matched the parts list and instructions.

I went out today and got a new resistor 470 OHM 2 Watt and replaced that dubious resistor in the C4 circuit. Sounds great now. When I have the amp at maximum volume it distorts a little. What function does the feedback trimpot serve? I really appreciate all the help and patience with a newbie like me.
