No worries no sorries Sluckey!
btw. Have you experienced, does octal 6SL7/6SN7 work fine with same resistor values as 12AX7/12AU7?

Re: Bias wiggle trem w/ cathode bias 6V6s

If you only have one triode to use then you can't build the AC15 circuit. It requires 5 triodes (6 if you count the input preamp triode also). It's a totally different circuit from the simple bias wiggle Ampeg circuit. Thank you. Yes its very different. I have lot of 6sl7, 6sn7 and 6sj7. Gt:s and m...

Re: Bias wiggle trem w/ cathode bias 6V6s

Hey Seppo, I would think you can use PPIMV with bias vary. I haven't tried it though. Thanks Smokebreak! I will try. Yet I think which one to build, sluckeys AC15 or Ampeg 12j. I think that the AC15 tremolo is different than the Ampeg. Try to know both fine amplifiers. Also wanna try vvr or some re...

Bias vary and ppimv?

P/P cathode biased 6V6s respond very well to bias vary tremolo. Plenty of examples out there. Here's an Ampeg circuit that I have built. 12AX7 would work fine too. Great! That would be funny to do. I have 6SL7Gt:s and wanna build ampeg. Hovewer, can i build it with ppimv? Does PPIMV master volume w...

Re: Power tubes plate resistor

It depends what the intention / goal is? I can't think of any benefits from doing that. Have some problem with B+ voltage. Amp have 6ak6 tubes, push pull. They need less plate voltage. Now i put 1k power resistor after bridge rectifier. Now power tubes plate voltage is ok. And i must put lower resi...

Power tubes plate resistor

Hello. Does it make sense to drop the power tubes anode voltage by connecting suitable resistors between the tubes pins and the output transformer?

Re: Octal Deluxe

Thank you David, nice to be here. Ok, now i understood. Nice to hear it Christopher. Today i tested 6SL7WGT in 5f2a and i like it. Tomorrow i gonna test 6ak6 in pa. Little proto.

Re: Octal Deluxe

Seppo, Yes, I still have the amp. I did change some resistor values as suggested by Phil above. It works well. I use a VVR for bedroom playing volumes. Feel free to experiment and post your results! Christopher Thank you Christopher, Some stupid question beloved, iam build one 5F2A by old tube radi...

Re: Octal Deluxe

Ok, here is an updated schematic. Thanks for everyone's input. I'd be lucky to make anything work without the help from this forum! I gonna making same using your schematic. Are you still happy? Have you changed something? Maybe i try 6SN7WGT phase inverter. And 6AK6 power tubes for bedroom level. ...
