Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout

I was wondering about the two "dirty" switches on the Dirty Wonderland (somebody asked before about it on the thread), Taylor's answer was about negative feedback lifts. So basically one would be a LNFB on the second gain stage and the other a GNFB? I was thinking on adding a GNFB switch to the amp,...

Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout

Hi, A couple of weeks back I finished the build. Completely surprised with the sound of the amp. Had a lot of expectations about it, and it definitely doesn't disappoint at all. Right now I'm running at 50W with 2 output tubes. (I'll be ordering a matched quad next month). Haven't connected a Strat ...

Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout

Is there a particular reason for the ground points marked as Ground at Send/Receive? Where is located that ground point?

I was thinking on grounding all filter caps at the same point.

Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout

Hi, Recently I acquired a late 80's Fender "The Twin" which has a double pot BIAS calibration system that works pretty well for setting the value and balance between the push-pull sections of the power amp. I would like to implement that type of topology on the amp. On the photos you can find 1) The...

Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout

Ok guys, thanks for your answers. I'll stick to the original plan and build the amp. I don't want to think about relays switching right now. I read on some other threads about a built in dumbleator having a positive result in the overall sound of the amp, with the added benefits of the improved effe...

Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout

Hi everyone, Starting my second build after a Marshall Plexi 18W that came great. I have a Twin Reverb 65 RI chasis with PT and Reverb Transformer. with a late 70's Ultralinear OT that I'm planning to use without the UL taps. The twin comes with an extra 12()7 tube. I was wondering if I should use t...

Hiwatt 50W on Twin Reverb Chasis?

Hi everybody. I have a Fender Twin Reverb 65 RI Chasis and Transformers available for a build. I was wondering if I could build a Hiwatt 50W amp on it? Sorry if this looks like a ridiculous question. I know the TR's Transformers put quite high voltage on the circuit that could work on the Hiwatt con...
