dirty socket can mimic or cause microphonic tube sounds?
i have a'99 rivera knucklehead 55 head. i noticed what sounded like a microphonic tube the other day. not too bad but just annoying enough to bug me. i tapped around and found it to be the phase inverter position and a nos tungsram 12ax7 so i swapped it out for another tube. still microphonic though...

the c20 and c30 are great little grab and go amps. i depeavey'd the input and tone stack circuitry on my c20 and it is a monster.

when going from standby to "on", channel 2 (the cleaner channel) would not work. all of the appropriate lights would work on the control panel. sometimes there was a slight wind noise in the background. footswitching to channel 1 (lead) would work and sometimes footswitching back to channel 2 would ...

the circuit calls for a 3a. currently my friend has a 2a in there. i haven't told him yet.

12 poles on the outside, 3 poles on the inside. front of switch is labeled "made in the usa" 3612 8 and 467. thanks.

this is a very early one, june 1960. the power switch is a rotary 4 position type. off-standby-on+on-.
