and couldn't than also be the negativ feedback and prescence control be added just like on a real wreck?

mh,
what would happen if you add a 470ohm resistor between the catode and the 10k resistor and than add a 1m resistor from that connection to grid, just like a half PI stage.

would that make the stage act more like the PI or is that nonsense?

brings me to another idea;

couldn't the PI stage be simulated with the unused 12ax7 half
and how would you bias the stage then?

6v6 mini wreck ?

hi all, I'm thinking about building a mini wreck at some point in the future and I have some questions: isn't a se el86/84 a bit too much on the treble side for a wreck preamp? wouldn't it be a bit more on the train wreck side with one 6v6 instead of the el86 / el84? has anybody tried a derailment k...
