with all tubes out except for the 5ar4 secondary's 530v B+1 374v B+2 372v B+3 268v B+4 228v B+5 217v with the 3 12AX7 approximately same voltages with the 4 EL84s and the 3 12AX7 in I get secondary's 505 B+1 150v B+2 148v B+3 92v B+4 77v B+5 74v any advice on how to trouble shoot this?

yeah it was the cap on v3 and the bleeder resistors. so lesson learned will start bleeding the caps before messing around better safe than sorry. im a electrician by trade and been shocked too many times to count but once I got shock trying to pull a fuse out of my JTM60 got hit across my 2 fingers ...

v3 seems to be the problem
I get a very low hum with it out but its very loud hum with it in
and v1 and v2 out

no hum at all until you turn the standby switch on.
if u turn power on with standby on no hum until the tubes warm up.

just built Trainwreck Rocket with 4 EL84s im getting a very loud humming noise very very loud the hum is constant doesn't change with any controls. I can play my guitar thru it and all the controls seem to work fine and its loud like it should be. the hum never changes with or without guitar plug in...

thanks for the advice. this will be my second high voltage amp and i have built few guitars I have always used average or cheap pots. There are only 4 pots maybe I should try some better pots. Can I get some more advice on some pots and a good source where to purchase.
